Can I be vulnerable for a minute? I’m finding it quite hard championing to help people find freedom and confidence, because it feels like society is just exiting left at the sign that says “Ozempic”. 🚧
Is that just me? How are you feeling about it? Ozempic feels like a quick and easy solution to a life-long problem, without any of the downsides. But I just know it’s not that simple. For a start, no amount of nausea, diarrhoea, constipation and stomach pain is worth it (those are just the common side affects btw).
And secondly, it’s talked about as though it’s going to deliver lasting confidence. And to that I say, “but if that really worked, you would’ve felt confident and free when you were at your thinnest”, surely?!
Let’s try it…
Think of an old photo from when you were at your smallest. Perhaps your ‘goal weight’ photo and ask yourself “how did you really feel at that time?” Did you feel confident and free of the mental chatter about food and your body or were you hungry, tired and worried about keeping the weight off?
Experience of working with many gorgeous, strong, kind-hearted women like you, tells me it is the latter. 💔
And you are not alone in that.
But this is PROOF that body image is a brain issue, not a body issue. 🧠
The discourse is frightening and there’s so much more I could say, but I think it’s time for me to give you some light relief.

Self-esteem isn’t grand ️
Feeling free in your body doesn’t arrive with trumpets and confetti. It doesn’t make a grand entrance one morning. It’ll arrive gently, subtly and on a soft cloud. Perhaps it’s when you reflect back on how you tackled that spiral. Then, you will realise that cultivating this relationship with yourself is the most important thing in the world. 🌍

Avoid spaces that require a reduced version of you
You want to be encouraged and uplifted to be you. Celebrated for you, as you are today. Not a future version, not a past version. Today’s perfectly imperfect you. So, set an intention to avoid spaces that require a reduced version of you.

Like shoes, different sizes is normal!
We all come in different shapes and sizes. That is the BEAUTY of the world. Similar to having different shoe sizes, having different body sizes is NORMAL. 👠
I hope this is received like a big deep belly breath of fresh air to renew and revive your spirit. Go on, take one now. 💨
